She was raised on a farm but her family later moved to Melbourne, which is a thriving city. She studied at Melbourne's Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and later appeared on a number of TV shows, including 'Marshall Law' and The Strip. The most well-known of her works is her role in the TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand which premiered in January 2010. The story was inspired by a historical figure named Spartacus who was a Thracian gladiator who was the leader of a massive rebellion of slaves to overthrow the Roman Republic. Her popularity grew following the series' broadcast across the globe. Regarding her personal life, she's got a marriage to musician Antonio Beliveau.
