Carice VanHouten was born in September 5, 1976, at Leiderdorp South Holland Netherlands. She is one of the wealthiest and most famous movie actresses. Black Book starred as an actor in the 2006 Dutch war film, Black Book. The actress also played Melisandre in Game of Thrones. Carice Van Houten also appeared in Repo Men with Jude Law. After winning the Golden Calf as Best Actress (TV Drama) for Suzy Q in 1999, and two years later in Undercover Kitty in 2001 she was also awarded the award for the the best actress. Khan was raised Catholic. She went to her parish of Hyde Park Saint Thomas the Apostle Church as her elementary school. The woman said her grandmother was the one who introduced her to jazz music as a small child, was responsible the reason for her love of music. Khan as a teenager at the time was a huge admirer of blues and rhythm music. At the age of 11, she founded a girl-group named Crystalettes with Taka. Khan joined the Black Panther Party in 1967 after becoming close to an activist from Chicago Fred Hampton, a member of the Black Panther Party. Many believe she got the nickname Chaka during the time of the Panthers but Khan claims it was a Yoruba Baba who gave her the name when she was 13 when she first joined. She left in 1969 the Panthers and left high school having been to Calumet High School and Kenwood High School (now Kenwood Academy). Her first gig was around Chicago in bands of small size and with her lover Hassan Khan. Chaka Khan and Hassan were married in 1970.
