Kelly Clarkson is an American musician and singer who became the nation's sweetheart after winning the American Idol title during the initial season of the show. Not only was she a celebrity after winning, but she also signed a record contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records for multiple albums. Since then, she's released various studio albums. Three of which made the cut in the US Billboard 200' chart while the other albums narrowly failed to make the cut. She's one of the most well-known artists that are emerging from American Idol. As she achieved success she experimented with different themes and music styles often co-writing her songs in accordance to her own personal experiences. Because of her distinctiveness and vocal ability, she was awarded critical acclaim as well as many awards. Most notably she has won Grammy Awards three times. Grammy Award three times. Alongside her music professional career, she has also appeared on television and in films. She also wrote the picture book for kids River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with various charitable organizations.
