Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan model and actress who is primarily active within the Indian film industry. Jacqueline Fernandez is the 2007. Miss Sri Lanka Universe winner. A member of a multiracial clan that includes Canadian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian heritage, Fernandez spent the early part of her life in Bahrain. After receiving a mass communications degree at the University of Sydney, she was employed at Sri Lanka as a television reporter for some time before getting into the model industry. In 2006 she made her debut as Miss Universe and became one the most sought-after models in Sri Lanka. The role of Jasmine in the Sujoy Ghosh film 'Aladin' during her 2009 professional tour through India. The film was her first big break in the year 2011, in which she portrayed the lead female in Murder 2. The film was a commercial and critical success, that led to a successful career for Fernandez. Since then, she has been featured in movies like Housefull 2 or 3, Race 2, Definition of Fear, and Judwaa 2 She has been awarded numerous awards and is a brand representative for several global companies. A leader in the local community, she is a supporter of many charitable causes and organizations.
