American actor and rapper Earl Simmons was born December 18, 1970, and died April 9 2021. His debut album, It's Dark and Hot, was released in 1998 to great critical and commercial satisfaction. The album sold over 251,000 copies within the first week. [5][65][6] DMX released his highest-selling album, ... And Then There Was X, in 1999. It included the hit track "Party Up (Up in Here)". His 2003 singles "Where the Hood At?" The 2003 singles, "Where the Hood at?" and "X Gon"Make It to Ya", were also commercially profitable. He was also the first artist to reach No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart five consecutive times. 7. DMX started his career in the music industry when he was 14 in 1984 when he beatboxed on behalf of Ready Ron. After a stint in prison and writing lyrics, he began to write his own lyrics and performing at the recreation center in town that was for children younger than he. While in prison for carjacking, he started dedicating nearly all of his time to creating lyrics. He also got to know and rapped with K-Solo. He started selling mixtapes he produced and sold after his release from prison for carjacking. The mixtapes helped him build an audience within New York. Percee P and DMX appeared on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show 1991, in which they freestyled. Jay-Z, Ja Rules, and Mic Gérardo appeared as guest performers on the underground classic "Time to Build" by Mic Geronimo back in 1995. DMX died of a heart attack caused by cocaine on April 9 2021.
